If you are a steelhead fisherman you will have heard of the Dean, Skeena, Kispiox, Babine, Morice, Bulkley River. These names are magical to the Steelhead fly fisher. At the very beginning of perhaps the most famous of all these legendary rivers lies the SUSTUT RIVER, "Mother of the Skeena".

The Sustut Valley remains pure and the river runs clear and breaks cleanly into pools and runs that may never have been fished. The Sustut flows as it has always flowed, and the Steelhead come as they have always come, every Autumn.

Suskeena Lodge takes a maximum of 9 anglers a week. The lodge features 5 fully appointed cabins with bathrooms and showers, and the main lodge houses a spacious dining room and lounge, where guests can spend their evenings relaxing, reading, tying flies and swapping stories from the day's fishing.

Unlike any of the other great Steelhead rivers in the Skeena system, there are no roads into the Sustut. An angler lucky enough to fish the river must fly in by plane or helicopter and must travel the river by jet boat or helicopter.

The Sustut has been designated a "Class One" river, which means that non-resident anglers must be guided on the river and the number of rod days per season is strictly controlled. A strict catch & release policy is enforced to protect these wonderful wild fish.

2007 Season Rates:

$4,600.00 per person, per week. Saturday - Saturday, excluding air travel and license.
