Sustut Steelhead are renowned for their size and strength. Females generally run between 14 and 20 pounds and males normally range from 14 to over 30 pounds. Prime season is from Late August through October.

As with all Steelhead fishing, there is no certain week or time during this period when it can be predicted that fishing is best. It is all dependent on run timing, weather and water conditions.

Steelhead Valhalla Lodge was built from logs cut on site. It features 5 comfortable cabins that can accomodate 2 persons each, a central bathhouse and main lodge building with dining room and lounge.

Guests at Steelhead Valhalla fish the lower 20 miles of the Sustut. The upper 80 miles are utilized for steelhead and salmon spawning and rearing, key to the productivity of the river.
