Brazil

A big 'unThe Amazon River in Brazil is renowned for its Peacock Bass fishing. These powerful fish strike surface lures with incredible power and are a force to be reckoned with when hooked. It is not uncommon to catch 20 to 30 fish a day, ranging between 5 and 20 pounds.

We are proud to offer 3 great ways to fish this region with Amazon Tours. Owner Phil Marsteller started operating the Amazon Queen in 1992, expanding the program when he opened Rio Negro Lodge in 1998 and Rio Araca in 2002. For the 2004-2005 season, the newly restored Amazon Queen II replaced the original Amazon Queen which had performed stellar service for the past 12 years.

All destinations are served by direct flights on LAB from Miami to Manaus. Guests depart Miami Fridays and return to Miami a week Sunday.

The Amazon Queen II is a beautifully restored 103ft riverboat offering all the comforts of home and a mobile base to pursue Peacock Bass..
