Lago Verde

Lago Verde Wilderness Resort is located in the heart of Los Alerces National Park surrounded by virgin forests and pristine rivers and lakes.

The Fishing: The lodge is at the center of the fishing area of Los Alerces National Park. The pristine, clear waters surrounding Lago Verde are an angler's paradise with some of Argentina's most scenic and productive streams. They are typically floated with frequent stops at prime spots to wade. Guests spend their fishing days with only birds and trees as their companions.

Most rivers and lakes are strictly regulated for catch and release fly fishing only. These waters produce rainbows, browns, brookies and landlocked salmon. Exceptional bilingual guides provide their knowledge and ensure a wonderful visit.

In addition to the many nearby rivers, Esquel is 70 km from the lodge and guests have the option to fish many additional rivers there.

Accommodations: The bungalows are a quiet and peaceful retreat, offering magnificent views of the forest. All of them have two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a living room with a stone fireplace and a private deck.

Meals can be served in the lodge's restaurant or delivered to your bungalow, where a private dinner at a candlelit table can be arranged. Guests will enjoy natural food, with aromas and flavors of "Los Alerces" district. Or, enjoy a real Argentine barbecue at your private outdoor grill. Summer nights are perfect for outdoor dining on the deck. Your lunches can be served in your bungalow or prepared for picnic.

Early season (November and December) is the best time for nymph fishing while late season (March and April) is the best time for dries.

During November days may be colder (temperature range 32° F to 70° F) but the weather becomes warmer as the season approaches summer.

During January , February and March the weather is quite warm during the day and cool at night (temperature range 50° F to 85° F).

Getting there:
Transfers by land from Esquel (70km) or Bariloche (283Km).
Length of stay:
 Fridays and Mondays, depending on visit length.
Number of Guests:
12 guests in 3 bungalows. Each bungalow has a living room, two double bedrooms, two bathrooms and therefore 4 person capacity. However, bungalows will not be shared with other guests.
Season:
 November 1st - April 30th.
Other things to do:
Hiking, horseback riding, sightseeing, birdwatching.
