Rainbow heavenWe have been working with Mission Lodge for over 15 years, and their record for client satisfaction is unsurpassed.

One of our clients has nicknamed Mission Lodge the "Can Do Lodge” for their total commitment to their clients. This is certainly one of the standard bearers of fine Alaskan Lodges.

Mission Lodge is located in the heart of the famed Bristol Bay watershed, approximately 300 air miles southwest of Anchorage . They are very near both the Wood-Tikchik State Park and the Togiak National Wildlife Refuge. That means they are surronded by scores of Alaska's most productive rivers. Nature's beauty and wildlife abound.

Mission LodgeThe lodge is accessed via Dillingham, and the Friday transfers to the lodge are made via jet boat across Lake Aleknagik. This allows them a full day for aircraft maintenance every week. Every other aspect of their operation receives the same meticulous attention to detail. The quality of their facilities, staff, guides, and food, reflect this same commitment to quality.

Each guest may have a private room (some with private baths). No one shares a room with a stranger or even a good friend who perhaps snores. With spacious rooms, full baths, sauna, hot tub, lounge, and majestic lake view, there is always a perfect place to share the day's glories or quietly read a book and watch the sunset. Several weeks in the season are designated for couples, though they will find any week equally hospitable.

How about the fishing? Fishing for Rainbows, Grayling, Dolly Varden, Char and Pike in the area is always superb. The months of July and early August also provide the opportunity to fish our incredible runs of King Salmon, Chum Salmon and Sockeye Salmon. In mid-August through September, the rivers teem with Silver Salmon. In short, guests can find no finer fishing in Alaska than in Mission Lodge's back yard. It is Alaska fishing at it's finest.

Lodge DockPILOTS AND AIRCRAFT - Mission Lodge operates a fleet of 4 aircraft for its 20 guests: 2 Beavers on floats, 1 - 185 on floats, and 1 - 180 on tundra tires (great for beach landings to catch the salmon sea-bright at the river mouths and landing next to those small streams unavailable to float planes). The lodge's aircraft are meticulously maintained and flown by some of Alaska 's most experienced bush pilots. Since lodge guests arrive by jet boat across Aleknagik Lake on Fridays, we are able to devote that full day to aircraft maintenance each week. Few lodges have that luxury.

Mission SilverTHE GUIDES & BOATS - Mission Lodge's guides are highly experienced and professional - well versed in both fly-fishing and spin fishing. Many live on the rivers you will fish. Mission Lodge has numerous motorboats kept all over to access the many highly productive spots inaccessible by plane alone. Guests are flown streamside to a waiting guide and boat, then off to the big ones.

BUSH CAMPS - The lodge also maintains well appointed, immaculate, and comfortable bush camps on the Nushagak and Mulchatna rivers where guests are welcome to spend a night. One can have a true wilderness experience with the storied bounty and beauty of these rivers at the tent door.

Flyout program rates for 2008 season:

Friday to Friday: $7,100.00 per person + taxes.
