Western Alaska Sportfishing

Husband and wife team, Dave and Kim Egdorf, started Western Alaska Sport Fishing in 1982. Their two fishing camps are located in the beautiful and wild Bristol Bay region, approximately 250 miles southwest of Anchorage. Here, awaiting you, is a vast wilderness of pristine rivers teeming with trophy rainbow trout, char, grayling and several species of salmon…a fisherman's paradise!

The camps are strategically located; one on the gorgeous King Salmon River and the other located on the famous Nushagak River…giving you front door access to these amazing fisheries. These on-the-spot camps ensure that you will fish each day of your trip with no dependence on daily float plane fly-outs. This fishing operation is a jewel among the many fishing camps in Alaska today. Because, it is truly a genuine wilderness setting with excellent fishing.

Both camps are complete facilities featuring a full service kitchen serving hearty home-style meals. You will find clean hot shower facilities and privy latrines. You are lodged in comfortable cabin-style tents, with doors and wood floors, single sleeping bunks with pillow, blanket and mattress (the outfitters provide sleeping bags, which have changeable linens).

Getting There: Guests arrive in Dillingham the night before (Thursday.) WASF recommends making a reservation at the Beaver Creek Bed & Breakfast. The following morning, you will fly out to camp.

Season: Mid June - Mid September.

Capacity: 6 anglers per camp.

2007 season rates:

All trips are 7 days, Friday - Friday out of Dillingham.
Two Camp program: $4,995.00 per person per week.
